Privacy policy

This describes what actually happens on this site. It is short because the site does little.

What is logged when you tap a button

Tapping a WhatsApp button on a listing or guide page records a click event. That event holds the time, the page you tapped from, the country the request came from, coarse device information such as mobile or desktop, and a hashed form of your IP address. The IP is hashed before it is stored and the original is not kept.

Click events are kept for [[TK: retention period, 24 months suggested]] and then deleted.

What the listed business sees

When you tap the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens a conversation between you and that business. From that point the business can see your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and photo if you have one, and anything you write. That is how the enquiry reaches them, and it is the whole purpose of the button.

Your number goes to that one business. It is not sold, not shared with other businesses, and not added to any list.

Location and area detection

Cookies and third party scripts

This site sets no cookies and loads no third party scripts. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, this page changes with it.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Because IPs are hashed and no account exists, a request usually needs the approximate time and page of your visit to locate anything at all.

Grievance officer

[[TK: grievance officer name]], [[TK: grievance officer contact]]. Required under the DPDP Act 2023.
