What verification means, and what it does not
YesNear publishes a verification mark on listing pages. That mark records specific checks carried out on a stated date, and each page names the checks it is based on. Where the mark says an address was visited, it was visited. Where it says a GST registration was checked, it was checked.
Verification confirms that a business exists, that it operates from the address stated, and that the person YesNear dealt with is the person they claim to be. It is not an assessment of workmanship, safety, pricing, or the outcome of any job. It is not a recommendation, a warranty, a guarantee, or an endorsement of the work a business performs. A verified business can still do work you are unhappy with.
YesNear is not a party to any agreement between you and a listed business. Any quotation, price, scope of work, payment, warranty, or dispute is between you and that business directly. YesNear does not take payment for services performed by a listed business, does not hold funds, and does not act as agent for either side.
To the extent permitted by law, YesNear's liability arising from a listing, a verification mark, or any contact made through this site is limited to the amount paid by you to YesNear, which for a visitor is nil. YesNear accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or cost arising from work carried out by a listed business.
If a listed business misrepresents itself, or if a verified detail is no longer accurate, tell me at [[TK: grievance contact]] and I will recheck it. Where a check no longer holds, the mark comes off the page and the listing is suspended until it is resolved.
Content on this site
Prices in a guide are ranges observed on the date shown, not quotations. They are not binding on any business, including the one listed on that page. Verify a price with the business before work starts.
Using the site
Do not scrape the site, republish the guides, or use the listings to build a competing directory. [[TK: legal review]]
NOT LEGAL ADVICE
This clause has not been reviewed by an advocate. The interaction between the verification claim and Indian consumer protection law needs professional review before publishing, in particular whether the limitation of liability survives where a publisher has made a positive representation about a third party.
